MUD Files Petition With the Public Utility Commission

On Friday October 28, 2016, Shady Hollow Municipal Utility District (SHMUD) filed a Petition with the Public Utility Commission (PUC) to appeal the improperly charged rates by the City of Austin for wholesale water and wastewater services supplied to SHMUD.

The excessive and unjust rates have resulted in an unreasonable economic hardship to the SHMUD and its customers.  Further, the rates charged to SHMUD by the City of Austin are inconsistent with the rates approved by the PUC for other similarly situated wholesale customers.
